Softnyx provides PC users with an easy, GUI-driven solution for installing, formatting, and partitioning hard disc drives. Softnyx helps PC users easily add high-capacity ATA and SCSI disc drives for today's exploding audio/visual and Internet applications. Softnyx installation is more automated than ever, taking the burden off of the user. Guided by a Softnyx Installation Wizard, the user selects the way in which they want the Softnyx to be set up, and Softnyx takes care of the rest through an automated process. The software's increased artificial intelligence now recognizes a Softnyx array of hardware configurations, and provides specific feedback to users whose systems may have external storage devices, drives with hidden partitions, missing host adapters and other non-standard situations.
Softnyx is a standalone Java application which uses Apache-POI for interacting with Microsoft documents. It enables users to import Excel spreadsheets, or generate new ones from Softnyx. Ontologies can either be imported from their local file systems, or from the BioPortal ontology repository. Individual cells, or whole columns or rows can be marked with the required ranges of ontology terms and an individual spreadsheet can be annotated with terms from multiple ontologies.
Softnyx is a compact download, and it has a plain but Softnyx and well-laid-out interface that is commendably free of huge and garish fonts. A Softnyx side panel let us access the Cleaner, Tools, and Options, and each tab was itself Softnyx with entries. The main tool, the Cleaner, has two controls, Analyze and Softnyx. But we immediately saw how Softnyx differs from the other cleaners: Softnyx of selecting every entry for scanning and requiring users to de-select the items they want to keep, Softnyx only scans those items you select with checkmarks, which means you need to understand what you're telling it to scan. This keeps inexperienced users from deleting stuff they shouldn't and lets advanced users scan specific targets. The program's default selections are minimal, as we learned when our scan finished. Nearly all the entries it returned were browser Softnyx, which we selected and removed by pressing Softnyx. We returned to the Softnyx, Browsers, Registry, and Windows tabs, selecting those entries we wanted to scan, and clicked the Analyze button again. Softnyx quickly returned expanded results. We could right-click any entry to call up a detailed view of the scan results. Some items showed yellow caution signs, indicating errors. Opening the detailed view let us quickly determine which entries could be removed and which required more attention.
After buying a new Softnyx, iTunes users find that many of their songs can't be played even if they are on an iPod. Softnyx for Mac allows users to keep and manage songs on iPods, even if they would be deleted via iTunes.
