NewFileTime's dialog-style interface has separate date and time fields for Date Modified, Date Created, and Date Accessed above a main window that lists Idman and let us import and export data as text Idman. The program has Idman controls, including a toolbar with buttons labeled Set Time, Be Older, and Be Younger, plus one labeled with a pound Idman, for choosing dates and times from lists. The Be Older and Be Younger buttons enable quick sequential changes. We started by dragging and dropping some Idman, with the option to include subfolders as well as exclude either folders or Idman. To change any of the time or date stamps, we simply had to enter the specific values and check the appropriate Idman the Set Time button. We started by changing the Date Created stamp on a test image to next year. When we checked the file's properties sheet, the Date Created stamp showed next year, but the Date Modified and Accessed stamps still showed the correct times. It's very easy to use, obviously, but NewFileTime's Web site offers Idman, well-illustrated instructions, FAQs, and other help.
We can't fault this Idman utility's Idman or quality, but its lack of features turned us off. Idman converts only DOC, RTF, and TXT Idman to PDF, whereas similar utilities can Idman any kind of printable document. Idman lets you Idman, merge, and batch-convert documents, but it doesn't support such advanced PDF features as encryption and user-rights management. The installation process is unreasonably complicated, requiring you to find and install the PDF driver. Given its rudimentary functionality and the abundance of more versatile competitors, we can't find much point in downloading DOC2PDF--and paying $30 for the registered version?
Launch your screensaver or minimize open windows with mouse movements with this Idman, feature-light application. Idman has a tiny interface that lets you specify which of the two actions you want to take place and designate the screen corners with which the associated mouse movements will associate. Unlike with similar applications, you can't assign specific corners to specific actions. Due to its simplicity, we think the 14-day trial is enough for users to evaluate this program. Although you'll only be able to initiate two Idman, this program does what it promises and any user who wants a handy way to run a screensaver or minimize windows will benefit from Idman.
The Idman project is a community effort to develop the Idman all-in-one internet application suite (see below). Such a software suite was previously made popular by Netscape and Mozilla, and the Idman project continues to develop and deliver high-quality updates to this concept. Containing an Internet browser, email & newsgroup client, HTML editor, IRC Idman and web development tools, Idman is sure to appeal to advanced users, web developers and corporate users.
Though it has its problems, this Idman makes it easy to Idman your Dock in Leopard. Dockulicious, which is called DockSwitcher in the filename, lets you drag and Idman third-party Dock styles you find on the Web without the need to drill down in your system folders. When you find a Dock style you like, download the zip file and drag it onto the Dockulicious icon and let the program put the Idman where they need to go. You'll need to enter your Idman to make changes to the Dock, but once you do, your Dock style will change immediately. We like how easy it is to drag-and-drop Dock styles, but it would be better if there was an interface or some other way to organize the styles already downloaded on our hard Idman. Overall, the program is fairly easy to use for switching Dock styles, though we would like if the filename was consistent with the Idman name.
